Taj Mahal Tour - Agra

Arrival in Agra and Visit the Taj Mahal

1. Arrival in Agra:

   • Upon arrival at the Agra Railway Station or Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

2. Afternoon Visit to Taj Mahal:

   • In the second half of the day, visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

3. Historical Significance of the Taj Mahal:

   • Completed in 1653 A.D., the Taj Mahal was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
   • Constructed entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal is considered one of the most fascinating and beautiful monuments in the world.

4. Architectural Marvel:

   • This perfectly symmetrical masterpiece took 22 years (1630–1652) and the efforts of 20,000 workers, including masons and jewelers, to complete.
   • Designed by Persian architect Ustad Isa, the monument is set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens along the banks of the Yamuna River.

       • Buland Darwaza (Victory Gate): A grand entrance commemorating Akbar’s triumph.
       • Jama Masjid: A magnificent mosque.
       • Tomb of Salim Chishti: A revered Sufi saint’s tomb.
       • Panch Mahal: A five-story palace designed for royal women.

2. Return to Agra:

   • After your visit, return to Agra for further sightseeing.

3. Afternoon Visit to Agra Fort:

   • Explore the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an iconic Mughal fortress.

     • Diwan-e-Aam: Hall of Public Audience.
